Adventures in Mississippi

We took what might be the last LOOOOOONG road trip to Mississippi in a while at spring break.  It took 17 hours to get there and almost 15 to return.  That's a lot of driving for an adult much less a three and two year old (and a 35 week old fetus).  The kids were great in the car considering how long we are in there and I was very pleased.  Sleeping was a little rough a few nights and I was very frustrated but they survived and it was all worth it to spend time with our families.  This is our THIRD drive down there since living in Omaha!

Here are some pictures of all the fun!

First stop was Gambrell manor.  The hightlights of Gambrell manor are always the outdoor fun, Uncle Mateo (and of course Mia and Papa too), Great Grannie and lots of GOOD food!  This time was extra special because my kids were able to meet some of my extended family too!!!

Second stop was Grandma and Grandpa where the highlight for the kids is seeing their three cousins!!!!

So glad we made the trip....worth it.

Departing Omaha---VERY excited!

The drive is not complete without oodles of pillows and stuffed animals

Walking to Great Grannies house
